Watching a translation being born

Today, the 10th July, was an important day at the Martinus Institute, Copenhagen. As you can see, translator Mary McGovern and proofreader Lillian Neil look very happy, because they have just finished their final check of the English translation of Livets Bog (The Book of Life), volume 5.

So what is special about this translation? In the fifth volume of Livets Bog, Martinus focuses specifically on the evolution of the sexuality of all living beings. His analyses show the sexual principle to be the ”wheel of creation”, a principle that underlies all creation and experience.

According to Martinus, human sexuality is only one detail of this principle. In other words, the topic of this book concerns every human being here and now, and it can also give us a better insight into our own identity. Martinus’ analyses of the so-called sexual pole transformation tell us that we have two poles in our consciousness, the masculine pole and the feminine pole. According to him, today’s humanity will evolve into a third sex that is truly human and a harmonious union of the two principles.

It was a beautiful, sunny day in Copenhagen. Apart from Mary and Lillian’s work with the translation, the Martinus Institute was quiet today in the middle of the holiday season. Only four people were working in the building, plus the roofers who are currently renovating the roof. (There are usually about fourteen people working there on Tuesdays.)

Right now, many people who are interested in Martinus’ analyses are taking part in the summer courses at the Martinus Centre in Klint, where the international weeks with lectures in English will begin on the 28th July.

After the summer, the renovation of the Institute’s roof will be complete and the beautiful old mansion on Mariendalsvej 94−96 will once more be ready to open its doors to people who want to hear lectures and take part in other activities in the autumn.

In October, Mary will give a presentation about Martinus’ analyses of the sexual pole transformation entitled “The Ongoing Evolution of Human Sexuality” at the international conference “The Mystery of Being Human” arranged by Science and Nonduality (SAND 2018) in San José, California, USA. You can read more about the conference here. It will be very interesting to see how the participants receive Martinus’ ideas.

And happily the fifth volume of Livets Bog will be available to an international audience in the not too distant future.
